The Crisis Response Lab is a research collective with a focus on the design and the use of information technology and information systems in the domain of emergency and crisis response. The lab comprises senior and junior researchers from University of Gothenburg, Viktoria Institute and Chalmers University of Technology.
The Crisis Response Lab conducts high quality research in the area of emergency and crisis response. Qualitative research approach with field-studies, workshops, interviews and document analysis are the primary techniques. The researchers have extensive experience in studying, designing and evaluating a wide range of different applications.
The Crisis Response Lab design and deploy working prototypes to be evaluated in real-world response work. The deployment of prototypes is an important approach in order to gain critically insights and explore how information technology could improve emergency and crisis response work.
