Department of Applied Information Technology
The department offers education and carries out research within the different areas of information technology in close cooperation with industry and public sector. Development of the individual’s knowledge and ability to analyze, understand and handle different aspects of IT is at focus. The department is located at Campus Lindholmen and is part of both the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology.

Interaction design students won first prize
[12 Mar 2010] Students from the master programme Interaction Design won the category Best Student Game during the Independent Games Festival in San Francisco.
Interaction design students finalists in big game competition
[22 Jan 2010] A game created by four students at the master programme in Interaction Design has been chosen to compete for the title Best Student Game Prize at a conference for game developers in San Francisco in March.
New scientific journal for academic videos
[18 Jan 2010] The journal Audiovisual Thinking encourages researchers to publish their results through the medium of video. The purpose is to show that research can be disseminated and debated with a visual and audible media as carrier of the content instead of the written word.
