Doctoral education
The doctoral or PhD-education at the Department of Applied IT has been organized in the scientific topics informatics and applied IT, but is currently expanding with cognitive science, interaction design, and learning oriented topics.
It is a modern, interdisciplinary education, distinguished by:
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments at Chalmers University of Technology and University of Gothenburg
- Collaboration with other universities in Sweden
- Extended international collaboration through exchange PhD students and guest researchers
- Collaboration with the industry and the public sector, through common projects and industrial PhD students
