The milieu, being placed at the department of applied IT, conducts research in the intersection of technical, pedagogical, linguistic and design-oriented traditions. The variety and original nature of the research is one of KML’s main strengths.
At the moment there are 34 staff members who contribute to KML, with their research, participation at seminars and activities and by supporting PhD students (about 20 students).
The research from KML is regularly presented at international conferences, and in prestigious journals. A selection of papers can be found at the groups’ web pages, or by request from the contact persons.
The future of research in KML is bright given the government’s current reform of teacher training and their commitment to improving the quality of Higher Education. Funding for research in these areas isare increasing and KML is a group that has the vision, capability, and will to respond quickly to new challenges and new sources of funding.
