Mobility Platforms

The Mobility Platforms research group conducts engaged scholarship based on the belief that open infrastructures and platforms are important means to build powerful intelligent transport systems. The main-part of our research is based on value-creating projects in collaboration with firms operating in the automotive and transport industry.

Our vision is to conduct leading research with significant impact in the fields of information systems and technology management. This vision implies a focus on contemporary issues such as design-oriented research methodology, digital innovation and infrastructure, innovation ecosystems, software platforms and governance, standardization, and sustainability.

The faculty members of the group currently include Ola Henfridsson (Research Manager), Rikard Lindgren, Dick Stenmark, Per-Olof Arnäs (part-time), and Youngjin Yoo (visiting professor). Research conducted by the group members has appeared in leading outlets such as the MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and Organization Science.
