Work Description

I am affiliated with the Department of Applied IT at the IT University of Göteborg with placement at the Software Engineering and Management group. My research interest are in the area of software engineering and are aligned with the courses I teach.

I am a program manager for Software Engineering and Management (Master's programme) since January 2007 and deputy head of department since January 2009.

My current research areas include:

  • Software metrics: Measurement systems in industy and prediction models.
  • Model driven software development: Industrialization of MDSD; empirical studies in modeling; large-scale model development
  • Empirical methods in software engineering: with focus on experiments and industrial case studies.
  • Predicting defect inflow in projects: Predicting number of defects in large and medium sized software project.
  • Requirements engineering in model based software development projects: supervising doctoral student (Niklas) in this area.

 

Since August 2006 I spend 50% of my work time on field research at Ericsson on the project related to software metrics. Since January 2008 I am also involved in ASIS research project with Volvo Car Corporation. Since November 2004 I cooperate with Volvo Information Technology on research projects related to modeling and MDSD.
