Anna-Lena Fredriksson

I am a teacher at the Division for Language and Communication at Chalmers University of Technology. This term I teach English and communication in English on the elective courses English and English for Engineers as well as on the Shipping and Logistics, and Chemical Engineering programs.

I am also a PhD student in English linguistics at the University of Gothenburg. In my research I explore the grammatical category passive in English and in Swedish. The passive and its related constructions in the voice network are useful tools in text organization, and the study aims to give more insight into the functions and uses of these constructions in both fiction and non-fiction language.
